Dreamwork Group
An in-person dream integration group for folx who are curious about exploring non-ordinary states of consciousness, working with their shadows, and learning more about working with dreams in community. Herbal dream tea, music, art, and ritual will all be pillars for our work together.
Group Information
Are you curious about deepening your relationship with your dreams? Do you find yourself drawn to the subconscious mind and wanting to explore topics that rarely see the light of day? Integrating our dreaming selves with our waking lives can be a profound and healing experience—one that invites us into the unknown within.
This group offers a therapist-facilitated space for dream exploration, shadow work, and integration through dream tea, music, art, and ritual. Together, we will witness and be witnessed as we navigate the imaginal realms, confronting the taboo with curiosity and compassion. In a time of collective uncertainty and transformation—politically, socially, and culturally—our dreams can serve as a vital space for processing personal and collective wounds, making meaning, and reimagining new possibilities.
This group is welcome to...
Adults in California who can commit to attending all 5 in-person group sessions in the East Bay.
People who feel called to exploring their dreams in a small group (4-7 people) community setting, as opposed to one-on-one. We hope to foster a space where each person can actively contribute and benefit from the collective experience.
This group may be especially useful for those integrating non-ordinary states of consciousness (e.g., Ketamine-Assisted Therapy, plant medicine, drug experiences, holotropic breathwork, etc.).
Schedule:
Five sessions on Wednesdays: February 26, March 5, March 12, March 19, (no session March 26), and April 2 from 5-7pm in person in the East Bay (participants must sign up for all 5 sessions)
Structure:
This group is designed to explore the relationship between our waking and dreaming lives through a balance of structured learning and experiential practices.
Session 1: Establishing our shared space, community guidelines, and group rituals.
Sessions 2-4: Exploring diverse dream interpretation methods while honoring each dreamer as the ultimate authority of their own dreams.
Session 5: Integrating insights gained, developing personal dreamwork tools, and deepening connection with our shadows and the group.
Throughout the series, we will engage with expressive arts, movement, music, dream tea, and mindfulness to enhance our dream integration process.
Accessibility:
The building we will be using for the in-person session is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible and requires being able to walk two flights of stairs. Covid protocols will include required day-of testing for in-person meetings. Masks will not be required, but may be worn by participants if individually desired. If you require more safety around covid protocols or other accessibility needs, please reach out to nicole@alchemytherapy.org to discuss options.
Fees:
Sliding-Scale, $30-$120/week, paid via credit card. Payments for all 5 sessions will be made at the start of the group, unless a payment plan is agreed upon ahead of time with the facilitators due to financial need.
(If the fee range above is prohibitive to your participation, we will reach out if a reduced fee spot becomes available.)
About the facilitators:
The group will be facilitated by KT Glusac, Registered Associate MFT and Nicole Schumacher, Registered Associate PCC.
