Dr. Sidney Edsall is an integrative psychiatrist specializing in the effects of trauma and its manifestations as psychiatric and medical disorders in individuals. She is the founder and medical director of Quantum Integral Healing Arts, a multidisciplinary and integrative mental health clinic in San Francisco utilizing ketamine assisted psychotherapy and eastern medical practices such as acupuncture, meditation, and mindfulness skills as healing modalities.

She is also co-founder of Open Mind Collective (OMC), a nonprofit dedicated to the clinical research of psychedelic medicines and the care of underserved populations utilizing psychedelic medicines.

Dr. Edsall is lead therapist for a sponsored Phase 3 clinical trial of 5-MeO-DMT for treatment-resistant depression and co-principal investigator for a sponsored Phase 3 clinical trial of psilocybin for Major Depressive Disorder. She was also a study physician for the MAPS Phase 2 and 3 clinical trials for MDMA Assisted Psychotherapy for PTSD.

Since completing her psychiatric residency at Stanford in 2006, Dr. Edsall has worked in many clinical settings, including UCSF Weill Institute for Neurosciences, Director of Behavioral Health Services at St. Mary’s Hospital & Clinics in San Francisco, Stanford’s Center for Integrative Medicine and also on US military bases in Italy and Germany for 5 years working with the active duty US Army soldiers and family members. Her time spent working with soldiers with PTSD, chronic pain conditions, and traumatic brain injury (TBI) greatly influenced her understanding of how psychological and physical trauma manifests in the body and prompted her further interest and exploration into novel and complementary clinical treatments to include non-ordinary states of consciousness (NOSC) induced by Ibogaine, 5-MeO-DMT, psilocybin, MDMA, and ketamine over the past decade.
