Associateship Program Update

After almost four years of facilitating intensive weekly didactic trainings for our 2-year therapy associateship program, Alchemy’s working on building a more sustainable model.

As promised, we’ll be bringing in a new cohort in September made up of a small group of associates gathering hours towards licensure. However, unlike previous years, we’ll only be accepting associates who have already completed thorough training in psychedelic therapy.

We’ve been finding that training associates from the ground up delays the process for clients seeking ketamine assisted therapy by about a year. Instead of starting from scratch, we’ll be providing support for associates who already have some experience so they can hit the ground running.

We hope you’re able to join Alchemy’s upcoming virtual ketamine provider training, which starts July 22nd and is now open to associates as well. Although there’s no guarantee that completing the training will secure an associateship spot for you, it does fulfill the required training component. We understand this new structure may be a financial stressor for some. We’re doing our best to balance our mission of equitable psychedelic therapy with the need to train diverse clinicians. As such, we offer partial scholarships as well as payment plans. If you’re wanting to apply to our associate program but need more assistance than that, please reach out and let us know.

If you’ve already completed a psychedelic therapy training equivalent to the KAT training we host, you can apply for our 2-year associate position. Applications are due by September 1st.

Please reach out to jobs@alchemytherapy.org if you have any questions!

*Alchemy has shifted from using the word “intern” to using the word “associate” since this is now used by both the Board of Psychology and Board of Behavioral Sciences.
