I am here to listen and support your process as you define and pursue your own goals in therapy, as you develop your strengths and come into new strengths, as you grow through life changes, challenges, and transitions, and heal from distressful current conditions and past traumas. I am available to meet with individuals, couples and families to work on how we relate to ourselves and others, with an emphasis on empathy, connection, communication and healthy relationships.

My approach centers what feels most alive for the client: your hopes, your fears, your concerns, your obstacles, your insights, your interests, your inspirations, your curiosity, your creativity, your sense of humor. From this place, I offer the opportunity to engage with different evidence-based and research supported therapy modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing for trauma (EMDR), somatics, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples (EFT).

My holistic approach to therapy understands that the emotions, the mind and the body are all interconnected, just as we are interconnected with others in our lives. I respect the art and the science of the field of counseling, therapy and psychology. I am sensitive to the importance of intersecting identities such as culture, ethnicity, race, gender, sexuality, socioeconomic class, immigration status, disability, religion and spirituality, among others, to the lives of individuals and their communities.

I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, and I have spent my life living, working, and going to school within its diverse communities. I have extensive experience as an educator, a community volunteer, as well as a musician, theater artist and writer. I love nature, plants and animals, and I feel that our relationships with them can have a special role in our lives and our healing process. I am grateful for this calling to serve others while connecting authentically, learning and discovering together.
